GITAM Aeromodelling Club

GAMC was formed in 2016. Throught the years, GAMC has been trying to upheld its mission of bringing Aeronautics and Astronomy at a service to all the students of GITAM. Apart from being a technological Student Club, we have our contribution in the Tech-Fests. Our Aim is to explore and spread awarness about the scope in aerospace. Take a look at our events. We make small scale projects, organize and participate in workshops and competitions.Future readiness is the key to maintaining an edge in technology and GAMC endeavours to optamise and enhance its technologies as the needs and ambitions.

Ornithopter

The purpose of this project is to achieve humanity's oldest aeronautical dream: flight with mechanical flapping wings. This Orthinopter was designed, and tested by GAMC team of 2017.

RC Planes

This project provided GAMC team (2018) an insight into basics of aircraft design, engineering, building and testing albeit on a small scale. The team also could learn aircraft technology fundamentals and use design and analysis tools. While getting a amazing oppurtunity for multi-disciplinary team to work together and understand the interactions.

Asteroid Search Campaign

Two teams of GAMC(2019) got selected in top 50 teams from all over the world to participate in SGAC (Space Generation Advisoty Council) Asteroid Search Campaign. It was an online event where the two teams used Astrometrica to analyze image sets and find asteroids.
